The Greeley Tribune Newspaper

Photojournalist for all published media.

Imagine driving out on the 1-25 N in Colorado on a two-lane freeway surrounded by nothing but cows, green grass, and mountains in the background, passing by tiny little country towns and the smell of cow manure all around. This was my drive from Boulder to Greeley when I worked as a photojournalist at The Greeley Tribune Newspaper. It was a drive that got me in the headspace, ready to document anything from sports to natural disasters to feature hunting.

I worked as an intern for the Greeley Tribune Newspaper and experienced a culture very different from what I knew. I got to hide in bull pen's and document rodeos; I photographed firefighter trainings and Friday night football games. Each day out in the field was a whole new experience, and never once did I see one situation the same.

During my time at the Greeley Tribune, I documented stories published on the newspaper's front page as essential features, and I also worked on breaking news stories. Each time I went out in the field, I wanted to get to know people with an exciting story and share their voice through an objective and intriguing lens to serve as factual and relevant information to the public. I focused on covering local journalism, capturing people's real emotions, and highlighting Greeley's unique lifestyles.

The photojournalistic images were all published in the newspaper's print version and on their newspaper's online platform.
