Rooting down to rise to your highest potential—This is the Root To Rise Retreat. Amber Sears and Tish Steenkamp led a group of individuals through a transformative week-long experience in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala, at Casa De Liberación. Root to Rise encapsulated different healing modalities from yoga, fascia release, yoga, cacao ceremonies, and ecstatic dance. They took people on an internal journey of observing self, releasing limiting beliefs, and reaching new potential through intentional activities. 

I covered two days of their retreat, focusing on capturing the transformation that occurred in this container. I spent time observing so many beautiful moments between people and photographed and filmed all the different movement and healing activities offered. Amber requested that I capture everything that occurred at her retreat while focusing on how the community grew together. I created a promotional video and a gallery of photographs highlighting this powerful retreat's beauty and magic.
