Longer Tables
Longer Tables is an NGO dedicated to fostering community unity through shared meals, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to connect and celebrate at one long table. Emphasizing the power of communal dining, it gathers individuals of various races, health statuses, and economic conditions to promote understanding, empathy, and inclusivity. The organization operates on the belief that a meal shared is a powerful medium for people to be seen, heard, and known, creating a space for meaningful connections and dialogue.
My involvement with Longer Tables has been instrumental in capturing the essence of these gatherings. Through my photography, I have artfully documented the diverse interactions and candid moments that unfold around the table, helping to convey the organization's mission visually. My work not only preserves the memory of these events but also amplifies their impact, drawing attention to the power of shared meals in building a more inclusive community in Denver.
